Thank you to everyone who came and supported us for the 2024 Needlework Fiesta. It was great to see both familiar and new supporters of this great event. Without you we would not be able to donate towards such worthy local charities such as The Honeypot Children's charity.
Preparations have already started for next year fiesta, so much to look forward to, so why not treat yourself to a spring weekend visit to the beautiful village of Brockenhurst nestled in the heart of the New Forest National Park?
When it's on:
The Fiesta runs from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 3.30 pm on Sunday.
Our busiest times are 10 am to 12 noon on both days so if you can avoid these all the better. It tends to be a little quieter on the Sunday so you may wish to defer your visit until the second day. Don't worry - the traders bring plenty of stock with them so you won't be at a disadvantage!
How to get here:
BY CAR: Parking is limited at Brockenhurst Village Hall (Highwood Road, Brockenhurst - Sat Nav Post Code SO42 7RY) but a small amount of free parking is also available at Brockenhurst Primary School (Sway Road, SO42 7RX) just a few minutes' walk away.
If these spaces are full we're just a short walk from Brockenhurst Railway Station where there's a large pay and display car park. Pay and display car parking is also available in the village centre in Brookley Road which is only a 15 minute walk from the Fiesta and where there are lots of interesting shops and cafes for you to peruse.
BY TRAIN: Brockenhurst Village Hall is a short walk (5 - 7 minutes) from Brockenhurst Railway Station where there are regular services to/from Weymouth, London Waterloo and Lymington (for ferry connections to Yarmouth, Isle of Wight). Please see the National Rail Enquiries website for further details.
BY BUS: The BlueStar No. 6 bus route (Southampton - Totton - Lyndhurst - Lymington) runs down Sway Road which is less than 2 minutes' walk from the Village Hall. Please see the Blue Star Bus website for further details.
BY BIKE: Brockenhurst is a popular destination for cyclists of all ages and abilities so why not visit us by bike? Undercover bike parking facilities at the Village Hall itself and also dedicated sheltered storage for dozens of cycles is available at Brockenhurst Railway Station (approximately 5 - 7 minutes' walk away).
What to bring:
WHAT TO WEAR: The event is all undercover, set in three large rooms within Brockenhurst Village Hall so (unless something goes badly wrong!) once you're inside you should have no need of a coat or protection from the elements.
FOOD & DRINK: The WI will be at the event selling hot and cold drinks and a range of light refreshments including a fabulous selection of home made cakes, but if you're planning to spend the day in Brockenhurst and haven't brought your picnic rug, sandwiches and flask of tea then you may wish to visit one of the many cafes, pubs and restaurants nearby. You can find out more about visiting Brockenhurst and the surrounding area at www.visitbrockenhurst.co.uk.
SPENDING MONEY: Many of our traders are equipped to take debit and credit card payments but it would be advisable to bring some cash including for your entry ticket on the door! There is cash available from the Post Office inside the Welcome Store on Brookley Road (the main shopping street) where you can also get cashback on debit card purchases from Sainsbury's or Tesco, and another on Lyndhurst Road at the Premier Convenience Store.

Brockenhurst Needlework Fiesta Committee
A BIG THANK YOU!
We had more than 900 visitors over the two days of the 2023 Fiesta (some making the journey from more than 100 miles away) and a colourful array of traders and exhibitors, to say nothing of the WI's cakes of epic proportion!
As you may know, the Fiesta is a not-for-profit event raising much needed funds for the benefit of the local community and textile groups. We are delighted to say that following the 2023 event we have been able to make donations totalling almost £5,000 so please accept our heartfelt thanks for helping to raise this amount.
Tell us what you thought of the last Fiesta
We'd love to know what you thought about the previous Fiesta event and are considering developing a brief survey to help gather views and ideas as to how we can improve the Fiesta, but in the meantime we'd be very grateful for your feedback by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. We are a small group of volunteers so can't guarantee to respond to each email individually but constructive feedback is genuinely appreciated and we will do our level best to implement your suggestions where it's practicable to do so.
